Problem & Task
The classic design of organizational processes with companies that examine and link individual functions and isolated processes are increasingly being superseded by the consideration of complex, logically linked processes and all their aspects. Organizational integration involves not only intercompany, but also intracompany business processes development.
Objectives
Expanding and changing market requirements force companies to continually adapt their business processes in relation to furthering the integration of the organization and information processing. Managers are only successful in improving their competitive advance when they are able to structure the organization and its processes in an integrated manner. |
Approach
This module first involves the basic principles of modern strategic management. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Continuous System Engineering (CSE) are discussed as the key principles for redefining processes. Business Process Management is always accompanied by the implementation of information systems. Intra- and intercompany business processes are therefore presented in connection with a commercial application. At the end of the module, participants will have gained an understanding of the key conditions, strategies, methods and tools to formulate business structures and processes that will support their company in the face of its competition.
