Program Characteristics

Decision-Making and Management Skills

The MBA Business Integration provides participants with the economic knowledge and methods to successfully manage companies in today’s world. In addition to basic principles of business and economics, the program relays specific knowledge pertaining to corporate strategy, project management, knowledge management as well as leadership and communication. Classes are purposely comprised of participants from a variety of disciplines so that students are able to benefit from interdisciplinary exchange and to encourage them to remain flexible within continuously changing environments.

Information Orientation

A central characteristic of the program is the continued focus on modern information processing as a tool for solving businessrelated issues. The targeted use of commercial software solutions and company information systems that are integral for management decision-making processes are becoming key core competencies of innovative companies. This is an area where classical study programs leave a gap. This is a gap which the MBA Business Integration aims to close.

Direct connection to practice

Even during the program itself, both the participants and their employers are provided with tangible economic benefit, since during the time between the modules students are able to immediately employ their newly-acquired skills and methods within the company.

International Focus

Companies must be competitive within an international context. Today‘s managers must be aware of the opportunities and risks of globalization, manage projects across borders and handle international activities. A key characteristic of the program is therefore the continual focus on international aspects in all learning units. The participant’s ability to consider international aspects is further promoted by two learning modules that take place abroad.

Clearly structured process

The program takes place over four semesters and is designed for people who continue to work at their place of employment. The program is broken down into ten block units. The face-to-face phases are concentrated to 14 weeks within a period of two years. Many years of experience with past participants have shown that this type of organization accommodates the needs of working students, since each of the block units relate well to everyday professional contexts.

Focus on Quality

The quality of the program’s content is substantiated by an FIBAA accreditation. The quality of the organizational development is certified by ISO 9001:2008.
