The new module Logistics, planned under the supervision of Professor Dr. Rainer Thome, is for the first time taking place as a block course from April 7 until April 11, 2008, in the lecture hall at Josef-Stangl-Platz 2.

With a yearly turnover of € 180 billion and 2.6 million employees, Logistics is the third biggest industry in Germany. The dynamical development in the emerging countries, in front of all Brazil, Russia, India and China, continues the increase of the recent years, so Logistics is becoming a key industry. The global sourcing, production and allocation of goods are creating a need for a strategic management of the underlying logistic network.
