From September 3 until September 8, 2007, the seminar Quality and Risk Management is taking place in the framework of the MBA Business Integration. Background for this event is the fact that pressure of competition and efficiency on enterprises and organizations is increasing constantly. As a result the quality standards of products and services are increasing as well as the demand for control of risks in the business surroundings. Quality Management, Quality Control and Risk Analysis are therefore central functions of the enterprise. These functions are only successful if embedded into a whole concept of Total Quality Management.

The module delivers the basis of Quality Management, Quality Control and Risk Analysis in the framework of Total Quality Management. Moreover, methods of data analysis regarding the usefulness for managers are part of the lectures. Operational techniques will be delivered with the help of statistical software, if necessary. At the end of the seminar, the participants will be able to judge the potential of a data analysis in a TQM concept, to manage the implementation of a data analysis and to realize central techniques themselves in an operational way.
