The BARC-Convention at Marienberg Fortress from May 10 to 11, 2011 is taking on the topic “Business Intelligence with SAP”. The participation for students and graduates of the Executive MBA program of the University of Wuerzburg is free of charge.

Several possibilities for the use of the Information Warehouse

After the buy out of BusinessObjects by SAP the information demand in companies about how Business Intelligence can be used in the environment of SAP is continuously growing. On the one hand the SAP Business Information Warehouse is as a base at the disposal for many Business Intelligence solutions in the environment of SAP. On the other hand it offers its users as Data Warehouse crucial information separated from the operational systems. Alternatively it is used as data source for other BI solutions. The dominating questions in this field are integration of data as well as data management.

Convention and Specific Exposition

The exhibitors will present their solutions underlining the comparative advantages of their tools compared to their competitors’ products. The fundamental structure of the presentation is determined by the organizer to simplify comparability for the visitors. The specific exposition will take place simultaneously, offering the possibility to more detailed conversations with exhibitors, other clients or analysers. The break can be used for further demonstrations of products. Deliberately planed as subject-specific convention BARC permits decision support for the evaluation of software products for Business Intelligence with SAP. The limited number of exhibitors is supposed to help finding the required solution easily without significant time loss.
