Online Marketing and IT Security

Online Marketing and IT Security

How are companies able to gain and bind customers through the internet? How do companies of all sizes have to protect their data and systems effectively from invaders of the internet? Those and other questions will be answered within two event series of the Mainfränkisches Electronic Commerce Kompetenzzentrum (MECK). Within the framework of a long lasting partnership between the Executive MBA Business Integration and MECK students and alumni of the Würzburg MBA program are particularly invited to the participation at the following events.

Search engine optimization (SEO), Search engine marketing (SEM) or Newsletter

Many companies want to seize internet platforms like Facebook, Twitter or XING for their marketing to gain new customers and bind old ones. But is this the only way and the right way for all of them? The “classical” marketing methods to get in contact with customers via internet should not be forgotten. Techniques like search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM) or newsletters should be elaborated thoughtfully. And instead of using all the services without reason, they should be selected according to the company goals, applied marketing and budget.

Secure transportation and secure storage of data

IT and the internet have become essential for companies in their operating tasks. At the same time, the unauthorized access to important data has become a crucial danger. Often losses in time and productivity as well as the elimination of central data are the effects. Each company and particularly the management are responsible for the IT security: First of all, the secure transportation and the secure storage of data are important, but also the education of the staff. Only the people who know the dangers are able to minimize risks and employ the necessary security methods.
