Supply Management is the focus of the scientific symposium from March 9 til 10, 2010 at the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg. The participants will get the chance to get information about recent trends and topics of theory and praxis of supply management and exchange knowledge with researchers.
Prof. Dr. Allessandro Ancarini (University of Catania, co-editor of the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management) and Josip Tomasevic (CLAAS KGaA) as keynote speakers will present the latest results of an international study about the evaluation of professional journals on the field of purchasing and supply management and show which challenges have to be mastered in the future to optimize the purchasing of a multinational company.
Previously, scientists and representatives with practical backgrounds were asked to present research results within the topics of purchasing, materials management, supply chain management and logistics or to report on it within practical speeches about innovative application examples. Out of the numerous submissions, nine speakers were picked and invited to present their studies. |
Topics are amongst others:
Besides the scientific symposium an exclusive recruiting event will take place. Students and alumni are able to seize the event to contact top-class companies, take part in company presentations and workshops as well as to discuss opportunities to boost their careers within one-on-one-interviews. There will be numerous companies including BASF, Henkel, McKinsey and Wacker.
The evening event at the Staatlicher Hofkeller Würzburg is offering the possibility to try regional wine and meals, but also to deepen the technical discussions of the symposium. More detailed information as well as the event registration is available at www.bme.de/wissenschaftliches-symposium (German only). |
